Avril Sanders Royle
DC FMCA FCC Diploma in Chiropractic. Fellow of the McTimoney Chiropractic
Association. Fellow of the College of Chiropractors.
Avril qualified as a Chiropractor in 1984, having decided to become a
chiropractor practising the McTimoney Technique partly because her baby
son's hearing problem due to glue ear was resolved by the treatment. It was
also because her cat whose prognosis was poor ("she'll have to be on pain
killers for the rest of her life") was rejuvenated!
As well as being a Fellow of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association and a
Fellow of the College of Chiropractors she is also Course Leader of an MSc
in Animal Manipulation and a tutor on the human chiropractic
BSc
at the McTimoney Chiropractic College. She is, therefore, very involved in
chiropractic education and spends at least one day each week involved in
academia.
From June 2001 all chiropractors in the UK have had to be registered. The
General Chiropractic Council has accredited the McTimoney Chiropractic
College.
Avril helped set up The
Natural Health Centre
in 1990 and still manages to find time to share in the smooth running of
this very successful centre for alternative and complementary health. She
also set up the Shropshire McTimoney Chiropractic Group in July 2002.
Avril sees many patients with chronic problems; sometimes people find relief
with a course of treatment after suffering for 30 years. She particularly
enjoys working with people who have been involved in accidents, pregnant
women and with babies and children. She also loves to treat the cases where
the patient has tried everything else.
